Concept
Through the windows of Cairo is a compilation of pictures where places vary from downtown wust el balad and masr el gideda. The idea came to me while I was glancing out the window whether in a car or through a building. I noticed the different lives that everyone lives and how each one has their own story and their own job. Yet, they all have something in common and that is being an Egyptian. The idea of the window symbolizes the transparency where I saw them act naturally in their own environment.
This project is intended to show the people or matter of fact the heart of Cairo. Just by looking through a window I got to see different Egyptians going on about their day and living their real and truthful life. I decided to only isolate the colors red, and yellow while the rest remain black and white. Some however are brighter than others to display the flag in a subtle way. This was my way of emphasizing the message “Made in Egypt, by Egyptians”.
